The one-hour final season premiere of Star Wars: Rebels on Monday night ratcheted up the tension and put our heroes in their most dire predicament yet. I'll stay spoiler free since I know many of you may not have had a chance to see it yet, but this clip from the upcoming third episode of the fourth and final season.
Hera Syndulla has painted herself into a pretty fiery corner, leading a fleet of battle-damaged Y-Wings back to the Rebel base on Yavin 4. Fans will hear her instructing "Wedge" to dump his fuel, meaning that famed Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles has crossed over into the Rebels-verse. We also get a look at the rest of the Ghost crew fleeing the temple on Yavin 4, Ezra sporting a shorter haircut, Kanan still rocking the sleepmask, Sabine bringing up the rear, and of course Zeb. I didn't spot Chopper, but I'm sure someone knows where he is.
If none of what I said makes sense to you, it's high time you started watching Star Wars: Rebels. It's honestly one of the best bits of Star Wars lore that's been added since the Disney takeover, and has lots of nods to fans of the now defunct Expanded Universe, not least of which has been a major role for Grand Admiral Thrawn. Check it out, the first three seasons are on DVD and Blu-ray, and should also be available on DisneyXD On Demand, so check your On Demand server. "In the Name of the Rebellion," the third (and technically fourth) episode of the fourth season premieres next Monday, October 23.
